2026 Toyota GR Yaris GTS Aero Performance Pack launched in Australia

The 2026 Toyota GR Yaris Aero Performance Package is now in Australian showrooms, bringing a raft of aerodynamic enhancements to the baby performance hatch.

The package, announced in September, is restricted to the top-spec GR Yaris GTS and adds $4500 to the list price – meaning $64,990 before on-roads for the six-speed manual and $67,490 for the eight-speed automatic.

Toyota says the upgrades have been developed with expertise from its GR Yaris World Rally Championship (WRC)–winning cars, which won 12 of the 14 rounds in 2025 to see Toyota take out its ninth manufacturers’ title.

Up front, the aero pack adds a front lip spoiler to reduce lift and add lateral grip for faster cornering, with a large central bonnet vent to improve cooling for the 221kW/400Nm 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine.

There are vents on the front guards and side vents on the rear bumpers as well, which the automaker says aid overall stability.

A manually adjustable hatch-mounted rear spoiler also brings more downforce – and therefore stability – while new underfloor components smooth airflow beneath the vehicle, which runs on the same 18-inch alloy wheels as regular GTS versions.

Pricing across the rest of the GR Yaris range remains unchanged, starting from $55,490 before on-road costs for the entry-level six-speed manual GT version, with the flagship GTS adding a Torsen limited-slip differential, Michelin tyres and red GR brake calipers from $60,490 plus on-roads.

Gazoo Racing is one of the five core brands announced by the Toyota Motor Group earlier this year as its primary focus, along with Lexus, Daihatsu, Toyota and the expanding Century ultra-luxury brand.

The flagship GR product will be the GR GT supercar, powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged hybrid set-up, which was unveiled earlier this month alongside a race-ready GT3 version.

Toyota will also compete in the Supercars Championship in Australia from 2026, with the GR Supra sports car – which goes out of production in March – powered by a 5.2-litre V8 engine.

The MR2 name – last used on a mid-engined sports car – was also recently trademarked in Australia, suggesting it may make a comeback – as have comments from Toyota saying the Celica sports car may also return to showrooms. MORE: Explore the Toyota showroom
