The new 7X mid-size electric SUV may be capturing more attention at local Zeekr showrooms, but its little sibling is getting an update that may stop it from being overlooked.
The 2026 Zeekr X has appeared in Australian Government certification documents, with a choice of 250kW single-motor rear-wheel drive and 365kW dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrains.
Both are up by 50kW thanks to the addition of a more powerful motor for the small premium electric SUV.
While torque figures aren’t listed in these documents, Zeekr’s Chinese-market website confirms torque figures of 373Nm for the rear-drive variant and 573Nm for the all-wheel drive, both up by 30Nm.

This more powerful electric motor allows the X RWD to do the 0-100km/h sprint in an unchanged 5.6 seconds (claimed), while the AWD is now slightly quicker than before at 3.69 seconds, down from a claimed 3.8 seconds.
We’ve contacted Zeekr Australia to confirm when the updated X will land in Australian showrooms.
There are no other major changes visible in these documents, but we can look to the Chinese market for further clues as to what will come here.
The updated X was revealed in November 2025, featuring a new Seattle Green exterior finish and new black, black and white, and black and orange interior colourways. Its 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system now runs on Zeekr’s latest (5.5) operating system.

Despite launching late in 2025, the larger 7X outsold the X by almost two-to-one last year (1206 units vs 665 units).
Likewise, the Zeekr X’s Volvo EX30 cousin beat it by a similar margin, racking up 1281 sales.
The X and the 009 electric people mover were Zeekr’s debut models in Australia. The Chinese brand falls under the Geely umbrella, alongside brands like Volvo, Polestar and Smart.
