The BMW iX4 is the first “coupe” based on the Neue Klasse architecture, and arrives in Australia during the first quarter (January to March) of 2027.

Based on the iX3, the iX4 features a lower roofline and more steeply raked rear end for a sportier look, as well as improved aerodynamic efficiency.
For the Australian market, the iX4 will be sold exclusively with dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrains. Like the i3 and iX3, it’s based on the EV-only Neue Klasse architecture.
A high-performance M60 xDrive flagship will join the range later in 2027.

BMW may offer pre-paid service plans for its EVs as with its other vehicles, but its EVs don’t have predetermined service intervals. These instead feature ‘condition-based servicing’, with the car telling you when it’s time for a service, and even alerting your dealer via connected services.
The company hasn’t announced service pricing yet, but it offers a four-year Service Inclusive plan on the related iX3 for $1614, with a six-year plan costing $2420.
Service Inclusive plans cover typical diagnostics, while BMW also offers Service Inclusive Plus plans – priced at $5535 for four years and $6615 for six years – which also cover wear items like brake pads and discs and windscreen wipers.
