It wasn’t that long ago when SUVs skyrocketed to the top of the market, becoming the biggest selling segment in the industry.
It was impactful enough that Ford and General Motors dumped their sedans to focus on filling any gaps in the SUV market. However, after decades of midsize utes being the lead dogs, in terms of sales, the pendulum appears to be swinging the other way.
Chevrolet rolled out its new two new small SUVs today — the 2027 Chevy Trax and 2027 Chevy Trailblazer — and it views them as critical to the company’s profitability in the near- and long-term. It’s not alone as the small SUV segment makes up 6% of the market and is growing.
This leads us to wonder: Are you moving away from midsize utes toward other styles or nah … I’m good. Let us know your thoughts.
