Currently listed for sale on AutoHunter is this nifty 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe, one of a pair of two-door hardtops in the top trim level of the Fairlane. What set the Sports Coupe apart was its bucket seats and console, making this the sportiest of Fairlanes. Powering this restored Blue Oval is a fuel-injected 302 V-8 backed by a four-speed automatic with overdrive. Other features include modern/aftermarket air conditioning, factory AM radio, dual chrome side mirrors, 3.55 gears, dual exhaust, and more. Painted red with a matching vinyl interior, this mid-size cruiser comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

The Fairlane’s flanks were sprayed red in 2019. Exterior features include chrome and white longitudinal trim, chrome C-pillar ornamentation, chrome rear panel trim, and other badging. You’ll also find dual chrome side mirrors, which certainly help in today’s traffic conditions. A set of aftermarket 10-spoke mags with Ford spinner center caps is wrapped in 225/50 radial tires.

The cabin features red vinyl upholstery with bucket seats and a console up front. Other interior features include Vintage Air climate control mounted under the dashboard, column-mounted automatic shifter, power steering, and factory AM radio.

Instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer with gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel. The odometer currently shows 21,476 miles, though the title reads mileage-exempt.

Underneath the hood, you’ll find the original F-code 260 V-8 replaced by another small-block, a 302 that also features a Holley Sniper EFI system. Shifting chores are handled by a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

The undercarriage features power front disc brakes, new dual exhaust system, and 3.55 gears.

This 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe was chosen for our AutoHunter Spotlight for its combination of style and sportiness. Plus, it’s sized right for modern times, so combine that with the fuel-injected small-block and you have a collectible that should be enjoyable to drive whenever you want. But there’s a caveat: The auction for this vehicle ends on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. (PDT). Don’t miss out!
