Right now on AutoHunter, you can find this 1969 Chevrolet Caprice Coupe restomod, which is powered by an LS3 6.2-liter V-8 paired with a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission. Highlights include Ridler wheels and power steering and Wilwood disc brakes. Finished in Dusk Blue with a Parchment vinyl top over a Dark Blue cloth and vinyl interior, this full-size Chevy coupe is now offered by the selling dealer in Kansas with a clear title. You can watch a walk-around and start-up video below.

As part of the restoration/customization process, the body was refinished in its original colors of Dusk Blue with a Parchment vinyl top. That high-contrast combo is accented with chrome bumpers, chrome mirror caps, white side stripes, and bright wheel arch and rocker trim.

A set of 20-inch Ridler chrome wheels with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear low-profile radials instantly give this Caprice a cool, custom look. Behind those big spokes are Wilwood power disc brakes.

There’s more blue — Dark Blue cloth and vinyl upholstery, to be exact — inside the cabin. Features include power steering, split-bench front seat, removable center console with cupholders, and RetroSound AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth.

The original gauges have been replaced with a set from Dakota Digital that consists of an 8,000-rpm tachometer, 160-mph speedometer, and readouts for the fuel level, temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer shows 1,087 miles, but this car’s title indicates that it’s mileage-exempt.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, one of the definitions of the word caprice is “a sudden, impulsive, and seemingly unmotivated notion or action.” When it comes to the engine in this Caprice, the people behind the build clearly wanted modern, reliable power because they chose an LS3 6.2-liter V-8. Upgrades include an aftermarket camshaft, headers, Racetronix fuel pump kit, and aluminum radiator. Exhaust enhancements consist of an X-pipe, high-flow catalytic converters, and MagnaFlow mufflers. A 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission (which has its own dedicated cooler) sends the small-block’s power to a 12-bolt rear end.

There are even more updates underneath this car, such as front and rear sway bars, KYB rear shocks, and adjustable front coilovers — all of which should help this big car handle its big power and the road ahead.

You don’t have much longer to make this nicely modernized 1969 Chevrolet Caprice Coupe your next car: The auction ends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. (PDT).
