Two men are appearing before Brisbane Magistrates Court today after allegedly leaving a path of destruction across the Queensland capital’s northside in the space of less than an hour.

During the early hours of the morning of Sunday, March 1, two men in a silver Holden Rodeo allegedly committed a string of offences.

At 4:42am, police received a report of a vehicle having stopped at the intersection of Gympie Road and Hamilton Road at Chermside, and a man attempting to stop vehicles.

At 4:53am, just south on Lutwyche Road in Windsor, police received reports that a ute had struck two vehicles. A couple of minutes later, they received another report that a ute had struck a vehicle on the same road in Lutwyche.

Heading north again to Kedron, a ute was reported to have struck a vehicle at 5:03am on Gympie Road.

Police also claim to have received reports of property being stolen from pedestrians in Brisbane City at 5:10am and in Chermside West at 5:15am.

The alleged offenders were then reported to have dumped the Rodeo on the Gateway Motorway near the Wyampa Road overpass at around 5:35am.

It’s unclear what the alleged offenders did between Brisbane’s CBD and the car’s dump site, but police have confirmed the men – a 30-year-old and a 38-year-old from Mooloolaba – have been charged with multiple offences.

Each man has been charged with five counts of causing grievous bodily harm and failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a crash, and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle and being adversely affected by an intoxicating substance.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been impacted by this series of incidents to come forward with any relevant information or footage, by contacting either Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
