How to make CarExpert your preferred source on Google

AI can be a very handy tool, but we’ve all seen how wrong it can be, too.

CarExpert produces dozens of news articles and reviews each week to help Australians buy the right new car. And we don’t want those articles to be pushed below potentially inaccurate AI-generated content in your Google search results.

To that end, we’ve added a button that allows you to make CarExpert a Preferred Source on Google.

This button will appear just above the comments when you’re browsing our content on your mobile device, and at the bottom of the right-hand column when you’re browsing on your desktop.

Simply click on Add preferred source and it’ll take you to your Google source preferences page. Type carexpert.com.au in the field, check the box next to it, and you’re done! You can return to Googling by pressing Take me to Google Search.

Once you’ve done this, CarExpert’s articles will be more likely to appear at the top of your search results. You’ll also see a little star icon next to our content, indicating you’ve selected it as a preferred source.

By making us a preferred source, that should save you unnecessary scrolling on Google… so you can more quickly and easily get to our site and scroll through our thousands of articles!

When you see this button, give it a click. And happy reading!
