Ford’s sales are sliding, and the fix is a manufacturer-to-dealer discount that most shoppers won’t see advertised anywhere.
Ford has launched a $1,000 factory-to-dealer incentive branded the “Fast Cash Cert Program,” in effect from now until the end of September, according to a dealer bulletin. Dealers get $250 credits and can layer as many as four of them onto a single deal, which is how the total reaches the full grand. The catch: that maximum only applies to purchases. Lease deals cap out at $500.
The reach is the interesting part. The program reportedly covers most vehicles from the 2025 through 2027 model years, which means even the freshly arrived 2027 lineup qualifies. That’s unusual. Automakers typically wait a while before letting money hit brand-new inventory.
Exclusion lists on these programs are usually long. This one isn’t. The lone holdout is the F-150 Lightning, a truck Ford has already killed off and cleared from showrooms, so leaving it out changes nothing in practice.
More notably, the special and high-demand variants that normally get fenced off from incentives are all eligible here. The Bronco Stroppe and Mustang Dark Horse both make the cut, which is not how these programs usually go. The discount can also reportedly be stacked on top of other nationally available incentives, which sweetens things further for anyone paying attention.
New vehicle sales have gone soft in recent months. Ford has felt it directly, posting a 10 percent sales decrease in July followed by another 10 percent drop in August.
A quiet $1,000 that dealers can quietly apply is one way to close deals with buyers sitting on the fence. Whether it moves the needle enough to reverse two straight months of double-digit declines is another question. For now, it’s a hidden discount that even 2027 shoppers can grab, provided they know to ask.
