Fast forward nearly 100 years, U.S. automakers are facing, well, a multitude of problems. However, no statesman is stepping up to assuage the worries of top executives at car companies with a similar statement. In fact, many are pointing to a rising number of Chinese automakers making in-roads around world that are now lining up at the gates.
While Americans knew who the hordes at the gates were in the 1930s, they are less familiar with the Chinese auto companies looking to be among the first to get a foothold in their homeland.
