The Mahindra Scorpio was already Australia’s most affordable SUV with seven seats and a diesel engine, but new promotional pricing has made it even cheaper.
Mahindra Australia is offering the Scorpio Z8+ for $43,990 drive-away – a saving of $4000 – while the top-spec Z8L+ has had its price slashed by $3000, to $45,990 drive-away.
The deal is available only on 2025-built stock, and it ends on December 31, 2026.

Both Scorpios are powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 129kW of power and 400Nm of torque, mated with a six-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
The Z8+ comes standard with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 7.0-inch instrument cluster screen, leatherette seat upholstery, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, dual-zone climate control, and proximity entry and start.
The Z8L+ adds a six-way power driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, and 12-speaker Sony sound system.

As part of a model year 2026 (MY26) update, the Scorpio belatedly received a suite of active safety and driver-assist technology, including adaptive cruise control with stop/go, autonomous emergency braking, and lane-keep assist.
Australia’s next-cheapest seven-seat diesel SUV is the LDV D90. Diesel power has just returned to the D90 range, and the entry-level Executive 4WD diesel is being offered until October 31, 2026 from $46,990 drive-away for ABN holders or $49,700 for private buyers.
Isuzu Ute Australia is also offering model year 2025.5 (MY25.5) examples of the MU-X 4×2 LS-M 2.2L for $49,990 drive-away.
Mahindra has been offering major discounts of late, with a $10,000 price cut making the XUV700 – already Australia’s cheapest seven-seater – even more affordable, while a $1500 discount on the XUV 3XO made it Australia’s cheapest SUV. Both deals are running until the end of October.
