GWM offers $5000 discounts on selected SUVs, low-rate finance in October

GWM Australia is offering discounts of up to $5000 on selected SUVs, alongside low-rate finance and $2000 launch bonuses for some of its newest models.

The Chinese auto brand’s October promotion gives buyers a choice between a lower purchase price and promotional finance on eligible vehicles, rather than allowing them to combine the two.

The finance offer carries an annual interest rate of 0.88 per cent and an annual comparison rate of 2.71 per cent, with a three-year loan term, no minimum deposit, and no balloon payment.

The GWM Haval H6 Ultra plug-in hybrid mid-size SUV with all-wheel drive qualifies for a $5000 discount, while the Ultra all-wheel drive with conventional hybrid can be had with a $4500 reduction.

GWM’s advertised discounts, available as an alternative to the promotional finance on the listed 2026-build vehicles, include:

Model and variant

Advertised discount

Haval H6Lux and Ultra petrol

$2000

Haval H6Lux and Ultra hybrid

$3000

Haval H6Ultra hybrid AWD

$2000

Haval JolionPremium hybrid

$3000

Cannon AlphaLux and Ultra plug-in hybrid

$3000

Tank 500Ultra plug-in hybrid

$1000

These offers are advertised as ending on October 31, 2026, subject to conditions and stock availability.

There are also separate savings on petrol-powered Jolion small SUVs. The Premium variant is advertised from $23,990 drive-away for private buyers in Victoria, including a $3000 discount. That saving is already incorporated in the advertised price, not an additional reduction.

The new GWM Cannon Hi4-T plug-in hybrid ute is covered by a different offer: buyers can choose a $2000 drive-away cash bonus or a $2000 fuel card.

The same choice applies to the new 3.0-litre turbo-diesel versions of the Cannon Alpha dual-cab and Tank 500 large SUV.

GWM lists the following drive-away prices for private buyers in Victoria, before applying the $2000 cash-bonus option:

Model

Advertised drive-away prices

Cannon plug-in hybrid

Lux — $50,990Ultra — $54,990

Cannon Alpha 3.0-litre diesel

Lux — $58,990Vanta — $63,990

Tank 500 3.0-litre diesel

Lux — $65,990Vanta — $71,990

The cash bonus reduces the vehicle’s purchase price; it is not money handed back to the buyer. GWM’s model-specific conditions require vehicles subject to the cash bonus to be ordered and delivered by October 31, 2026, while stocks last.

The fuel-card offer requires an eligible purchase before October 31, 2026, with the card supplied at delivery, subject to availability and limited to one per eligible vehicle. These launch offers cannot be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated.

The promotional finance covers selected new and demonstrator Jolion hybrids, H6 and H6GT models, the Haval H7 Vanta two-wheel drive hybrid, Tank 300 plug-in hybrids, Tank 500 hybrids and plug-in hybrids, and Cannon Alpha plug-in hybrids.

The new H7 four-wheel drive hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants are excluded. Government, fleet and rental buyers are also excluded, and lending approval is required.

Applications must be received by October 31, 2026, with finance settled and the vehicle delivered by November 15, 2026. The offer is available through participating dealerships while stocks last.

The advertised comparison rate is calculated using a $30,000 secured consumer loan over five years, rather than the promotion’s three-year term. Different loan amounts, terms and fees can change the comparison rate, and some charges are excluded from the calculation. Finance is provided by Angle Auto Finance.
